Panel Features Broad Range of Combatant Commands Discussing Space Needs
Space capabilities are critical to the success of combat troops - and the need for advanced capabilities will continue to grow.
The Joint Operations: Space as a Force Multiplier, moderated by Vice Adm. Carl Mauney, USN, deputy commander, USSTRATCOM, will hear directly from leaders from multiple Combatant Commands, who will discuss how space capabilities are integrated into their operations and planning. They will give their perspectives as operators on the space-related challenges, solutions, and opportunities that enhance - or hinder - their operations.
Panel members include:
- Lt. Gen. Steven Blum, USA, deputy commander, United States Northern Command
- Lt. Gen. Francis Kearney, III, USA, deputy commander, United States Special Operations Command
- Lt. Gen. P. K. "Ken" Keen, USA, military deputy commander, United States Southern Command
- Maj. Gen. Harold W. "Punch" Moulton, II, USAF, director of Operations, United States European Command
The panel is part of Nov. 3 agenda for the Strategic Space Symposium, which will be held Nov. 2-4, at the Qwest Center Omaha in Omaha, Neb. The panelists will be on hand during the Symposium to network with attendees, participate in track sessions, and attend general sessions. For more details on the agenda, click here.
