The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) serves as the Army Strategic Component Command to the U.S. Strategic Command.ÿ SMDC/ARSTRAT?s ASCC missions include space operations, information operations, global strike, integrated missile defense, global command and control, combating weapons of mass destruction, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and strategic deterrence. SMDC/ARSTRAT also serves as the Joint Forces Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense (JFCC-IMD).
